Funding-matching platform

Matches organizations to non-dilutive funding. It reads thousands of mixed-format documents with retrieval-augmented generation, matches on embeddings, and predicts fit with a fairness-calibrated model, all inside a bilingual client portal.

Form-filling browser extension

A companion Chrome extension that fills funding applications by reconciling what is on screen with the DOM through hybrid vision matching, with subscriptions and credit metering.

Self-hosted speech assessment

Replaced a licensed pronunciation-scoring service with one we own. Open-source Whisper runs on a GPU server I set up, and our own scoring algorithm keeps learners’ scores fair and comparable with the old ones.

Language-learning mobile app

A React Native app for iOS and Android that puts a full English curriculum on learners’ phones. Adaptive lessons, video-led units, speaking and vocabulary practice, an AI tutor, and progress that syncs in real time with the institution’s learning management system.

Hands-on CTO @ an AI startup

Co-founded it and wrote production code every week while leading engineering

  • Designed and coded the retrieval-augmented generation system: high-dimensional vector search, adaptive semantic chunking, and cross-lingual English/French embedding alignment.
  • Built the compliance-guarded LLM pipelines that extract constraints, classify intent, and validate grounding before anything ships.
  • Scaled the platform from zero to 84,000+ users under SOC 2 Type II, owning architecture and security while still shipping features myself.
  • Directed a government-funded applied-AI research program across LLM systems, retrieval, computer vision, and predictive modelling.

My Story.

My journey started in the early web, when I co-founded a small studio and spent a decade building e-commerce platforms and custom CMSs for clients, and mentoring the developers who joined us.

From there I ran engineering for digital agencies. I put four platforms on one shared infrastructure, built an award-winning music-distribution product, and wrote a banking data sync that moved a client onto AWS.

Then I co-founded an AI startup and led it as a hands-on CTO, writing production code alongside the team. We built retrieval-augmented generation, LLM pipelines, and predictive matching into a platform that grew to 84,000+ users under SOC 2 Type II.

Most recently I was tech lead on a small EdTech team, shipping a React Native app and Node.js backend myself while modernizing the stack underneath it. These days I write software with AI every day, and I still love what I do! 💜
